I-9 Without Social Security Number:
Although the I-9 may be completed without a social security number the E-Verify will NOT be processed without a social security number on the I-9. Since a new employee may not start working until a the E-verify process is done, make sure you update the I-9 once the student gets the social security number to ensure that HireRight triggers the E-Verify process. Make sure to also enter the new start date to coincide with the E-Verify completion. The social security number and the start date are updated under the “CORRECT I-9 OPTION” on HireRight.
