All University of Miami students must maintain at least a minimum GPA and hour requirement to receive financial assistance. Failure to do so can result in the cancellation of aid awarded.
Please review the standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress for each type of financial assistance. You will be able to view the following information regarding Satisfactory Academic Progress:
|Institutional Cumulative Grade Point Average Requirement
**Effective for the 2013-2014 academic year, the University of Miami will begin using the UM Cumulative GPA only. Please keep this in mind for the renewal of your financial aid. Grades earned outside the University will NOT be calculated toward the renewal of your financial aid. However, credits earned outside the University may still be accepted and calculated toward your total credit hours earned. **
