University Communications provides communications, marketing, and public relations services that advance the University of Miami’s mission as well as its reputation and identity as a leading academic and research institution. Through its communications to the media and the print and electronic materials it produces, it disseminates information about the programs, research, and activities of the University to external and internal audiences. The division also handles online social networking as well as video and new technology projects.
Under the leadership of Vice President Jacqueline R. Menendez, University Communications consists of two offices: Media Relations and Communications and Marketing.
Office of Communications and Marketing
The unit—the central publications office for the University—produces a wide range of print and electronic communications to keep our audiences informed about the many developments at UM. The office manages the content of the home page and top-tier website, builds other Web pages, and develops video and new technology projects.
Office of Media Relations
Media Relations is responsible for communicating information regarding the University’s achievements, faculty research, programs, and events to the local, regional, national, and international news media.
