March 28, 2011 — Scientists and Engineers Expanding Diversity and Success (SEEDS) and the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science will host a COMPASS workshop on “Communicating Science to Non-Scientists” on Friday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Rosenstiel School Auditorium. The full-day workshop, led by four leading journalists, will help scientists communicate more effectively with journalists, the public, and policymakers about what they do and why it matters. The conference is based on the prestigious Aldo Leopold Leadership program at Stanford University and is open to those within and outside the UM community.
