October 08, 2012 — Coral Gables — The University of Miami has beefed up its ’Canes Calendar, launching a new and improved comprehensive listing of events ranging from lectures and panel discussions to concerts, film screenings, and art exhibitions.
With the new and improved calendar, users can submit event information to one source and have it shared in multiple platforms such as the UM mobile app and e-Veritas, the University’s faculty and staff newsletter.
The new calendar allows users to:
• Subscribe to weekly emails of calendars of interest
• Add events easily to their personal calendar
• Email events to a friend
• Receive notifications of event changes
• Receive text message and email reminders as an event nears
• Share events on Twitter and Linkedin
