Las Vegas (August 10, 2010) — Tamika Henry, a recent graduate from the University of Miami, was recently crowned Miss Guyana Universe and will compete in the Miss Universe Pageant on August 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As a student leader and a sister of the University of Miami's chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Incorporated, Henry has gained company sponsors stating, "she has overwhelming confidence and has a passion for women empowerment...We have faith and confidence in Tamika – we are definitely backing the winner.”

At the University of Miami, Henry received many accolades and was an active student leader on the Coral Gables campus.
