December 09, 2011 — Coral Gables — A two-floor expansion project that will add 307 parking spaces to the Pavia Garage on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus begins Friday, December 16. All vehicles must be out of the garage by midnight, Thursday, December 15. Any vehicle left in the Pavia Garage after this date will be relocated to the Mahoney/Pearson Garage.
The Pavia Garage will remain closed until early spring. Faculty, staff, and students will be notified in advance when the garage reopens. If the garage is still unavailable at the start of the spring semester, temporary parking will be created in the general area to accommodate yellow permit holders.
During its closure, alternate parking will be available in the surface lots adjacent to the Pavia Garage, including lots near Mahoney/Pearson Residential Colleges, Canterbury Preschool, the Hughes and Rhodes Houses, and next to the UM Fieldhouse at the BankUnited Center (See map below for details).
