Miami Law to Screen ‘Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry’

Conversation with filmmaker Alison Klayman to follow screening.

(April 08, 2013) — The School of Law screens Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry on Tuesday, April 9, at 5:30 p.m. in Room E352. Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry is the first feature-length film about the internationally renowned Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei. The film examines the complex intersection of artistic practice and social activism as seen through the life and art of China’s preeminent contemporary artist.

A conversation with filmmaker Alison Klayman will follow the screening, and a panel discussion will be held as well. Panelists will include Carrie Bettinger-Lopez, associate professor of clinical legal education and director of Human Rights Clinic at Miami Law; James Nickel, UM professor of philosophy and law; and Joseph Treaster, John S. and James L.
