August 22, 2011 — Coral Gables — The University of Miami Lowe Art Museum, Miami-Dade’s oldest art museum featuring the region’s most comprehensive collection, announces the launch of its newly designed website. This debut comes in anticipation of the Museum’s 60th anniversary, to be celebrated in 2012.
After an extensive development and testing phase, the Lowe Art Museum has officially launched its redesigned website. It now includes a variety of enhanced features such as illustrated exhibition pages, collection highlights, online membership registration, and a downloadable events calendar. Also, the website will soon feature a fully searchable online database of the entire collection of more than 17,500 objects (Spring 2012). The site can be viewed at www.lowemuseum.org.
The Lowe Art Museum is located at the University of Miami at 1301 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables. Gallery and Museum Store hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 10-4; Sunday: 12-4; Monday: Closed. Regular Admission (not including special events) is $10; $5 for Seniors and Non-UM Students; Free for Lowe Art Museum Members, University of Miami students, faculty and staff, and children under 12.
