June 10, 2011 — Coral Gables — This seminar, presented by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) in partnership with The Families First Network and The Children’s Trust, will teach parents of children from birth to 5 years of age learn ways to help their children manage daily transitions and changes in their environment. Parents will learn strategies to prepare children for both planned and unexpected transitions. Positive and negative changes and their impact on young children will be discussed. A parenting specialist from The Families First Network will conduct the seminar. FSAP Health and Wellness seminars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program.
Miller School of Medicine campus: Monday, June 20 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Dominion Parking Garage, Room 155.
Coral Gables campus: Tuesday, June 21 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the McArthur Engineering Annex, Room MEA 202.
