Estefan Tapped into Iron Arrow

Gloria Estefan, a Grammy-winning superstar and a UM Board of Trustees member, was tapped into Iron Arrow.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (April 22, 2014) — Gloria Estefan, A.B. ’78, a seven-time Grammy award winning superstar and a member of the University of Miami Board of Trustees, was tapped into Iron Arrow, the University’s highest honor society, on Monday.

The tapping was conducted at the Estefan Enterprises office in Miami Beach.

She joins the 60 other distinguished Iron Arrow tappees of the 2013-14 academic year. During the Homecoming 2014 celebration this fall, she will be formally recognized for her humility, leadership, scholarship, character, and love of alma mater.
