August 26, 2009 — If you or a member of your family is a smoker, the Be Smoke Free program can help. The program combines the best evidence-based treatments: such as Chantix (varenicline), a smoking cessation prescription medicine, or a combination of nicotine-replacement therapies (e.g., nicotine patches with Commit lozenges and nicotine gum) with various other alternative therapies to help minimize the cravings, bolster resolve, and assist smokers in building a new sense of self that is healthy, vibrant, and free from the grip of nicotine addiction. Participants who are enrolled in the Aetna medical plan will receive these prescriptions free of charge and a full reimbursement of the $84 program fee upon completion of the six-week program.
