Adriana Mares Cassinera is the Assistant Director of the Sue and Leonard Miller Center for Contemporary Judaic Studies. She has worked at the Miller Center since its creation. She brings an extensive background in business operations, management and administration. Her responsibilities include planning and budgeting operations; human resources; the coordination of public events, such as named lectures, symposia, conferences and partnership programs with other agencies.
From 1993 to 1998 Adriana served as a volunteer in the public school system where she worked with children with reading disabilities, providing individualized tutorial assistance. She went on to develop a full learning program for children with special needs at a local elementary school and headed fundraising activities to provide financial assistance for the program. Her commitment to helping children is further demonstrated as Adriana became an active member of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers, Dade County Council PTA and was elected vice president and subsequently president for two consecutive years.
From 1988 to 1993 Adriana worked for a renowned aluminum broker company with offices in Argentina, Panama and Miami responsible for the company’s international sales operations, financial/budget operations and business management.
Adriana is a graduate of the University of Miami.
Born in Argentina, Adriana has been a resident of Miami since 1978.
