MAIA is committed to assisting students and graduates of the Master of Arts (MA) in International Administration with their internship, job searches and professional development needs.  Below is an updated compilation of internships, employment, and volunteer opportunities.  Please look through this page for great ideas on where to apply to get started on your internship. 

IMPORTANT:  ALL STUDENTS NEED TO GET THEIR INTERNSHIP SITE APPROVED BY THE MAIA OFFICE PRIOR TO STARTING.  PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK DEADLINE REQUIREMENTS AND APPLY EARLY.  ALSO, BE SURE TO APPLY TO MORE THAN ONE.

NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: 
Students who are not residents of the United States and have an F1 visa that allows them to attend the University must complete a full academic year (fall and spring) before participating in an internship program if the program provides them with salary benefits or other compensation. Note that completion of the internship program is required to graduate from the MAIA program.

Spring Career Expo

Date:  Wednesday, February 11, 2015

The Career Expo is the University of Miami’s Toppel Career Center signature recruiting event which allows students to meet recruiters from a variety of industries. This is a great way to explore summer internship options and full-time job opportunities both locally and nationally. Students from all majors and class levels are encouraged to attend.

The Career Expo attracts hundreds of companies from various industries including business, healthcare, communication, government, non-profits, science, technology and more! Gain exposure to a broad spectrum of career paths, learn about internships, full time positions and network with employers from various industries. The Career Expo is sponsored by EY Building a better working world.  The event is open to UMiami degree seeking students and alumni only.  Professional dress and your CaneID is required for entry.  Also, students are encouraged to bring at least 20 copies of their resume.
