The Report Distribution System (RDS) is the system to distribute and archive reports for all major applications. The system distributes reports from the University’s mainframe computer via electronic format. The reports are delivered to the end-user’s electronic file cabinet (eFile) and accessed at the desktop through personal computers. Under special circumstances, email is used to inform users that a report is available or is attached. Authorized RDS users can view reports from most applications including the Financial Records System (FRS), Enrollment Management, and Budget, to mention a few. A typical user of RDS would be an account responsible person, principal investigator, department administrator or staff responsible for reviewing or assembling data of all types.
