Employees of Contractors

Employees who work for a Contractor that provides services to the University of Miami. The Contractor Employee must work on-site at one of the University of Miami campuses which are located in Miami-Dade County. These employees are eligible to participate in the following programs:



This specially-designed program offers unique learning opportunities for on-site employees of service contractors of the University of Miami.  Eligible employees can gain or enhance their skills so that they are better prepared to do their jobs or pursue future career plans. Offerings include English courses, computer courses, and access to programs leading to a Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED).  Most classes are offered during work hours and employees who participate in those classes will receive their regular hourly rate of pay while attending classes.

To provide information and access to quality health care resources in our community for on-site employees of service contractors of the University of Miami and their dependents, who are typically either uninsured or on underinsured. An average of 13-14 Health Fairs are conducted each year on the various campuses to provide cholesterol screenings, blood sugar and blood pressure checks, as well as referrals to physicians in the community at large. In addition, the Health Office also provides Flu Vaccines during flu seasons, either by shoot or nasal spray.
