The Development and University Relations (DUR) System used by the Division of University Advancement serves three main purposes. It processes and tracks all donations to the University of Miami, stores biographic, demographic, and relationship data useful in identifying and soliciting potential donors in support of the fund raising efforts of the university and stores, and tracks all University of Miami Alumni information to support the Annual Fund, Alumni Involvement, and Reunion Programs. The DUR system receives information from Campus Directory and Enrollments. It sends and receives information from the Financial Records System. DUR contains a wide breadth of data, including addresses, relationships, group affiliations, donor histories, donor propensity ratings, and contacts with University Advancement staff. Users of DUR are typically involved with raising funds for the University of Miami in some way; they range from Development Officers to Deans to Library personnel (used to verify alumni status).
