The University rewards regular non-temporary or student employees that have volunteered to work the commencement ceremonies (in the Spring and Winter) with one vacation day for working two or three ceremonies, and two vacation days for working all four ceremonies. For hourly-paid employees, the vacation days are added to the vacation balanced usually 2 to 3 weeks after commencement. Monthly-paid employees must notify their supervisor to add the time to their vacation balance. The notification sent to employees that earned vacation day(s) can be used as documentation for your supervisor.
