Elena Kasparis, a current senior, was recently chosen to be one of four associates for GlaxoSmithKline’s Procurement Leadership Program, in which she will work abroad in international pharmaceutical business after graduation. Elena is an Honors student majoring in Health Sector Management and Policy, International Studies, and Business Law, in the School of Business at the University of Miami. She has competed a number of internships , research, and volunteer positions. This includes working for Cardinal Health’s Pharmaceutical Distribution Division as an Acute Care Marketing Intern in Dublin, Ohio, interning at Ygia Polyclinic Private Hospital in Limassol, Cyprus, and serving as a Market Researcher and Assistant to the CEO of Global Strategy, Inc in Orlando, Florida.
Elena has also received many honors and awards during her time at the University of Miami. These include being a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business programs, participating in the Honors Summer Research Program in Summer 2012 studying international governance in medical tourism, serving as the Alumni Relations Chair for the Hyperion Council, and being inducted into Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society. In addition, she serves as an RA, a TA, and a Peer Counselor.
