INVITATIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

PARKING
Parking is available for guests at the Ponce Garage, the Serpentine Parking Lot and the Pavia Garage.  No parking passes are required for any of these on the day of the ceremony.  We encourage guests to allow plenty of time for parking as there will be traffic congestion in the area around the BankUnited Center.  Please refer to the color coded parking map for the location of parking lots and garages.

Special Needs parking is available in the Serpentine Lot in front of the BankUnited Center.  No Handicap tags or special passes are required - just tell a parking attendant.  Click here for Parking Map.

BANKUNITED CENTER
The Honors Day Convocation ceremony will be held at the BankUnited Center on the Coral Gables campus.  No tickets are required for guests.  Doors will open one hour prior to the scheduled start of the ceremony.

The BankUnited Center is ADA compliant with Special Needs seating available for individuals in wheelchairs.  Please see on of our Honors Day Convocation staff at the VIP lobby/Special Needs entrance at the ground floor for assistance.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOS
Personal photographs may be taken only before and after the ceremony. No one is permitted in the aisles during the ceremony.

WEBCAST
The ceremonies will be webcast live. Out of town family and friends can watch live at Live Stream on the day of the ceremony.

PRINTED PROGRAM
The Honors Day Convocation program will be available at the entrance to the ceremony for guests and in the seating areas reserved for graduating students and participating faculty. The program lists the name, degree, and proper accolades for each graduate. It also contains a detailed sequence of events for the ceremony.

SEATING
The doors will open beginning one hour prior to the published start time of the ceremony. Seating in the ceremony is open, general seating. We recommend that large groups of guests wishing to sit together arrive early, although seats together are not guaranteed. To accommodate all of our guests, the saving of seats will not be allowed. Handicapped-accessible areas are reserved for guests with special needs. There is access to the seating areas via an elevator in our Special Needs/VIP Lobby Entrance (located right across from the Special Needs parking lot).

Note: The academic procession will enter the commencement site at 11:00 AM.  We strongly recommend that all guests are seated by 10:50 AM.
