The Office of Government and Community Relations acts as the liaison between the University of Miami and all federal, state and local government offices. As advocates for the University, the Government and Community Relations staff works closely with government officials and their staff.
The legislative priorities for the University are coordinated through the Office of the President. Bills, policies and new legislation is monitored closely to address any concerns and protect the best interest of the University, as well as maintaining the appropriate University faculty and staff informed of any legislative issues and/or possible impact.
All communication to federal, state, or local governmental bodies should be coordinated through the Office of Government and Community Relations.
