The Office of Government Affairs acts as the liaison between the University of Miami and all federal, state and local government offices; representing the University in all issues, including but not limited to education, medical, research, and foreign affairs.
Assist the University President, administrators, faculty and staff to address concerns, plans for growth, funding and event planning in an efficient manner, when dealing with the different governmental offices, elected officials, and their staff. Monitor laws and proposed legislation to ensure the concerns and best interest of the University are represented. Promote positive relations between the University and federal, state, and local government.
