| Dr. Penfield teaches courses in statistics and measurement, and conducts research in educational measurement and psychometrics. Recipient of the 2005 Jason Millman Promising Scholar Award of the National Council on Measurement in Education, Dr. Penfield has taught statistics and measurement since 1999. His research has been published in numerous journals, including the Journal of Educational Measurement, Psychological Methods, Applied Psychological Measurement, and Applied Measurement in Education. In addition, Dr. Penfield has served as a Co-Principal Investigator for several federally funded grants, and has served as a statistical and measurement consultant to numerous other federally funded projects and state and private assessment programs. Prior to serving as a faculty member, Dr. Penfield served as a statistician and measurement specialist for the Education Quality and Accountability Office of the Ontario Ministry of Education in Toronto, Canada. |
