The School of Architecture’s Design/Build studio gives students an opportunity to apply what they learn to a real-world setting. Students last year designed a mobile kitchen that would be donated to Earth Learning, a nonprofit organization that promotes ecological awareness and teaches farmers about permaculture. Construction of the mobile kitchen is almost complete, and students this fall will soon be taking on other similar community-based projects.
