The Fall 2011 issue of Arts and Sciences Magazine is now available, and features a story by editor Sara LaJeunesse on civic engagement at the University entitled “Committed to the Community and the World.” The “The aim of Office of Civic and Community Engagement,” writes LaJeunesse, “an initiative of the Office of the Provost under the aegis of William S. Green, senior vice provost and dean of undergraduate education, is to put the academic resources of the University, including faculty members and students, to work in solving pressing public problems and thereby contributing to the public good.” Our own Dr. Robin Bachin was interviewed for the article, which you can find in print on campus or access online here. Be sure to check it out!
