Screening of “The Pruitt-Igoe Myth”

The Office of Civic and Communtiy Engagement cordially invites you to the next event in our Focus on Affordable Housing Initative. On Monday, February 6th, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. we will host a screening of The Pruitt-Igoe Myth, which explores the social, economic and legislative issues that led to the decline of conventional public housing in America and the city centers in which they were built, while tracing the personal and poignant narratives of several of the residents of the notorious Pruitt-Igoe public housing complex in St. Louis. The event will be held in the Glasgow Lecture Hall at the School of Architecture on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables Campus.
