    CB Connects U Launches

    With CCE Overseeing Internship

    CB Connects U, a new initiative from the Citizens Board designed to inform business leaders of the impact that the University of Miami has in the South Florida community, was launched at a special reception on March 27, 2012 in downtown Miami. As part of the initiative, CCE is overseeing a hands-on internship: UM senior Stephanie Horna is in the process of conducting a national benchmarking study identifying best practices in county procurement processes.

This Internship Project is designed to assist Holocaust Survivors while at the same time providing students with a deep educational experience that will reinforce their community values and commitment. It has been an outstanding success and changed the lives of those, students and survivors, who have been involved in it. The program is open to students of all denominations.
