UHealth offers childbirth classes, which are held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Medical Wellness Center.
With so much to learn about pregnancy and caring for a newborn, many new and expectant parents may feel stressed and overwhelmed. This course provides valuable tips about pregnancy, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, newborn care, infant and child CPR, and car seat safety to help parents prepare for this special time in their lives.
Classes are taught by UHealth childbirth educators and obstetric and pediatric experts. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with UHealth physicians during question-and-answer sessions.
The cost of the course is $100, which will cover the four-class session, lunch, and parking. University of Miami employees (benefits-eligible) receive a 20 percent discount on the cost of the course.
Please visit UHealthBaby.com for more information and to register for an upcoming session.
The program is open to the public, regardless of whether parents are currently seeing a UHealth physician for their prenatal care. For more information or to register, call 305-689-7200.
