Employees and family members who participate in the UM/Aetna medical plan are welcome to have their free annual skin cancer screening at the UHealth Coral Gables Clinic (Daystar). The screenings, which will be offered on Tuesdays from 1 to 5 p.m., will be performed by Shasa Hu, assistant professor of dermatology and cutaneous surgery, and George Elgart, professor of dermatology and cutaneous surgery and vice chair of education.

The Coral Gables UHealth clinic is located on UM’s Coral Gables campus on the second floor of the Student Health Services building. UHealth at Coral Gables offers primary care services to University faculty and staff, as well as patients from the surrounding community.

Dr. Hu is an expert in skin cancer surveillance and treatment. She is experienced in treating medical, cosmetic, acute, and chronic dermatological conditions.

Elgart is an expert in pathology-dermatopathology with clinical interests in autoimmune blistering diseases, melanoma, and immunodermatology.
