The mission of the Edward H. Arnold Center for Confluent Media Studies (ACCMS) is to initiate cross-disciplinary, educational, media campaigns and create a media platform highlighting the global impacts of major research and innovation conducted at the University of Miami.
• Identifying relevant research topics and opportunities as anchor projects, and devise strategies to secure external research funding, to initiate cross-disciplinary media collaboration by generating high-quality media productions intended to trigger academic discussion, contribute to and further the educational mission of the University.
• Highlighting University of Miami faculty leaders, their respective research and innovation, to increase funding opportunities ultimately showcasing the value of excellence in the University’s research.
• Providing educational opportunities for students, through course offerings as well as part-time employment, promoting their involvement in large-scale confluent media projects, and helping to foster a new generation of young scholars and leaders; who contribute to the production of new media that is unbiased, highly educational, and effective in triggering large scale environmental and social change.
• Creating strategic media design to support University of Miami over-arching projects or capital campaigns.
