The University of Miami’s mission is to educate and nurture students, to create knowledge, and to provide service to our community and beyond. To support that mission, we have established standards that govern participation in University life.
Students are expected to adhere to the University’s Honor Code. Conceived and written by students, the Honor Code is administered by the Student Honor Council. When you enroll, you are asked to sign the Honor Code as a pledge that you will not participate in any form of academic dishonesty.
All students are also expected to abide by all University regulations as well as all local, city, county, state, and federal laws. Through the statement of Students’ Rights and Responsibilities, UM seeks to ensure the safety of our students and provide an equitable and nurturing learning environment.
