University of Miami Disaster Preparation and Recovery Plan
The Disaster Preparation and Recovery Plan is a management supported, cost-effective and documented plan which provides University-wide capability for organized preparation and timely recovery from a major unforeseen disruption. Crisis Decision Teams (one for each major campus and one University-wide) are comprised of key decision makers who will coordinate operations in a crisis including canceling classes, closing buildings, releasing employees, etc.
The overall plan is maintained under the leadership of the Vice President for Business Services, and individual unit plans are maintained by the individual colleges, schools, support areas, etc.
