Sadegh Tale
Director of Finance
I’m a second year PhD student in the college of engineering, Advanced Materials lab, researching the chemistry of cementitious materials and admixtures. My work contains a plethora of chemical measurements and experimenting, computer analysis, machine learning model development and of course small lab scale casting of cement-based specimen (the hardest of all!). In my free time, I watch a ton of movies and shows, read Sci-fi and science books, hang out with friends and try to discover niche spots in Miami!

Nima Khodadadi
Director of Technology
Nimakhan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Structural Civil Engineering from the University of Tabriz (One of the ten top universities in Iran). He is currently studying for his 2nd Ph.D. at the University of Miami (UM) with distinguished professor Antonio Nanni. He got his 1st Ph.D. at the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). His main research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, FRP, Concrete, and Metaheuristic algorithms. In addition, he has been actively involved in engineering optimization, especially Evolutionary algorithms. Nima has published over 55 publications with over 1000 citations and an H-index of 20 for now (Sep-2023). His hobby is coding, playing soccer, and swimming. His dream job is to be a faculty member, as he is passionate about teaching.

Subhashree Panda
Director of Communications
I am a 3rd year PhD student in the civil and architecture engineering department. research is dedicated to the exploration of low-carbon supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) like CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 glasses, which have the potential to mitigate the CO2 emissions typically associated with cement manufacturing. I have been undertaking comprehensive structural characterization and reactivity analysis along with an extensive molecular dynamic simulation approach on these glasses to gain a deeper understanding of the individual elements. Fun fact – I’m such a foodie that my taste buds have more frequent flyer miles than I do! I explore cuisines as long as my stomach can fit it all in 😊.Boring fact – Staying on campus is like a wild rollercoaster ride, while sleeping at home is like a slow, peaceful carousel. And I choose the rollercoaster, even if it comes with a snoring soundtrack! 😊
