This Web site was created to give information and guidance to individuals and to families of people who have lifelong or developmental disabilities. This site is not a substitute for, but should be used along with, the services of knowledgeable professionals who have experience and expertise in disabilities and in working with families to make future-care plans.

For easier use, the information on this site is divided into seven areas: five life topic areas and two information and resource areas. You may choose any or all areas to obtain the information your family needs. However, to be sure you haven't forgotten something important, we suggest you read through all of the topics first, before deciding which to exclude.

For your convenience there are two versions of this Web site.

1. [Regular website- click here for the full graphics version]

2. [For a text only and no frames version click here]

Choose the 2nd version if: a) you use an older browser, such as Netscape Navigator Gold or Internet Explorer 4.0 or older, b) you use special equipment to view the Internet or, c) you prefer to view a text only version with no special effects, for a faster loading time.
