‘Cane Records
Cane Records is the student-run record label at the University of Miami.  Established in 1993, it was one of the first record labels of it’s kind. It’s goals are to provide Music Business and Entertainment Industry students at the University of Miami with real world experience operating an independent record company; to provide developing recording artists with the opportunity to launch their recording career by exposing their name and recordings to the broadest possible audience; and to provide music fans with high-quality recorded music for their listening pleasure.

Cat 5 Music Publishing
Cat 5 Music Publishing was founded in 2002 as the first graduate student-run music publishing company in the nation.  While based out of the University of Miami’s top-ranking Music Business program, the company exists as an entirely separate business entity.  Cat 5 operates as a full service music publishing company, searching to find placements in television, movie and commercial spots for the songs that are part of our continually expanding catalog. Cat 5 is currently in a partnership with peermusic, the world’s leading independent music publishing company.
