Students in the BA program study applied music (instrument or voice) with the exceptional faculty of the Frost School of Music. In the BA program students are required to take one credit per semester of applied lessons, with a half hour lesson per week; most students choose to take two credits of applied lessons, with a one hour lesson each week. Students also take part in ensembles appropriate to their applied area.

There is no recital requirement for the BA degree. However, some students elect to present a non-credit recital.
