On Friday mornings once every three weeks the BA in Music Forum provides programs on and discussion of the role of the musical arts in society for people in a wide range of careers. The first speaker was former German Ambassador and Consul General Dr. Volker Anding, who spoke of his diplomatic career and the significance of playing the cello to his life. Other topics feature music and anthropology, music and the brain, scholarships and academic awards, and music in 21st century communities. Other guests at the BA Forum have included Howard Herring, the president of the New World Symphony.
