Naoko Takao
Assistant Professor, Keyboard Pedagogy
Naoko Takao is assistant professor of keyboard pedagogy at the University of Miami Frost School of Music and is on the summer faculty of the Rocky Ridge Music Center in Colorado. Prior to joining Frost, she was a long-time faculty member at the Levine School of Music in Washington, D.C. She enjoys a versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, ardent educator, master class clinician, adjudicator, and pedagogue. Frost School of Music names 2013 Outstanding Seniors for their academic and artistic excellence.

The University of Miami Frost School of Music announced the Ft. Lauderdale based Georgina Dieter Dennis Foundation has awarded the school $50,000 for vocal scholarships in the academic year 2013-14.

Frost School of Music students were once again well represented in DownBeat magazine’s 36th Annual Student Music Awards, with 11 awards bestowed on ensembles, soloists, arrangers, composers and engineers.
