John J. Olah, Jr.
Associate Professor, Tuba and Euphonium
John Olah (tuba, euphonium) is associate professor in the Department of Instrumental Performance at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. He received a B.M. degree from the Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory, an M.M. degree from the University of New Mexico, and has pursued advanced studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music. A student of Ronald Bishop, Olah has performed with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Ballet Orchestra, the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, the Santa Fe Chamber Orchestra, the New Mexico Brass Quintet, the Cleveland Brass Quintet, the Cleveland Brass Consort, American Ballet Theater, Bolshoi Ballet, and the Blossom Festival Band.
