HMI Outbound presents the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra each spring in a highly appealing Film Music Outdoor Concert at Fairchild Tropical Bontanic Garden, featuring music by one of today’s celebrated film composers, performed “to picture” on large outdoor projection screens.  Over 3,000 people gather on the beautiful garden lawn to hear and enjoy exciting musical excerpts from new motion pictures, as well as classic favorites by such film music masters as Henry Mancini and Elmer Bernstein.  Visit Frost Events for details.

In addition, HMI Outbound presents a dozen mixed genre quartet/quintet performances in conjunction with Fairchild Garden’s Sunday Sounds series, selected Thursday Exhibit Nights, and other special events.  HMI Outbound is also scheduled to present chamber music concerts in conjunction with Fairchild Garden’s Chocolate Festival each spring.  Over 25,000 residents and visitors will hear exciting types of genre-blending music performed by talented Mancini Fellows, free with membership/admission to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.

HMI Outbound at Fairchild Garden is partially funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, matched by business leader and University of Miami trustee Adrienne Arsht, with additional support from the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.
