Please help us maximize opportunities for Frost School students to excel across the board—a significant contribution to music scholarships will help make the school a magnet for more talented young musicians and in turn, enhance the reputation of our great university.
When a talented young musician cannot attend or continue their education at the Frost School due to financial barriers, we all feel the loss. Expanding undergraduate music scholarship funds, as well as graduate fellowships, will ensure that the most deserving students will be able to attend the Frost School of Music without financial burden—and enable them to receive the kind of rigorous and relevant musical training needed to pursue a career in today’s rapidly changing world.
With over 450 undergraduate students and 220 graduate students, Frost faculty aim to recruit students with the highest academic and musical acumen for their program areas; incoming freshman entering the Frost School of Music have a competitive academic profile with an average composite SAT score of 1328 (Fall 2011), the highest of all schools at the University of Miami. Because the school competes with renowned institutions that often waive tuition for outstanding students, the Frost School seeks to increase its endowed and cash scholarships and graduate student stipends.
Thank you, your support will make a world of difference.
