Engaging Passion, Inspiring Innovation

Building a successful career in the competitive world of music demands enormous dedication, extraordinary talent, and an excellent education.

By supporting generous scholarships, novel programs, and enhanced facilities, your contribution during our Momentum2 campaign will enable us to continue to draw a superb community of musical performers, scholars and innovators to the Frost School.

Rewarding Hard Work, Building on Success

The Frost School of Music recruits the best and the brightest, literally. We attract students who are in the top echelon academically, as well as high achieving musically, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Our incoming freshman SAT scores and GPA averages consistently top the charts at the University of Miami, and our audition requirements are among the most rigorous in the country.

Yet, the amount of merit scholarship we have to offer is not where it should be for a school of our size and stature.  During this campaign, we seek to increase scholarship endowments by $6 million.

Similar endowments were established by Austin and Marta Weeks during previous campaigns, and now assist over 20 vocalists and instrumentalists each year during the course of their studies at Frost.  What a legacy!

In addition, thanks to a very generous scholarship newly established by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation during this Momentum2 Campaign, we have been able to attract 19 of the very best instrumental undergraduates to our Stamps Distinguished Ensemble Scholars initiative, offering full tuition, room and board for all four years of their undergraduate education.

And, new annual pledges through our Moon River Society will provide a growing number of graduate stipends for students involved in the Henry Mancini Institute, attracting a new cadre of excellent musicians to our school. Many will end up staying in Miami after graduation to perform, teach, and enrich our community. Others will audition for orchestras, go on performance tours, or will be hired by leading corporations in the music industry and help spread the news of our great institution

Make a Gift, Change a Life—We Invite You to Make a Difference

Please help us establish additional music scholarships to help us attract the next generation of dedicated music professionals, and compete with the merit aid offered by our peer institutions.
