Tickets now available for a one-of-a-kind concert featuring John Daversa and the Frost Concert Jazz Band with special guests NEA jazz master David Liebman, Grammy-award winner Maria Schneider, plus Mark Egan, Danny Gottlieb, Ed Calle, Mark Colby, Vince Maggio, Ron Miller, Marko Marcinko, Lisanne Lyons, Wendy Pederson, Jim Gasior, Walter White, the Jaco Pastorious Big Band, Lee Levin, Dan Warner, Kenny Anderson, Dennis Marks, Don Harry, The Miami Saxophone Quartet, Dean Shelly Berg and the entire jazz faculty, plus scores of alums spanning the 45 year history of UM Jazz, to honor and express their appreciation to Professor Emeritus Whit Sidener for his 40 years as an educator and chair of the Department of Studio Music Jazz. Free Jam Session with Frost Alumni and Students—Honoring Whit Sidener
The following day, Gary Keller will host a free jam session, Saturday, March 8 at 4:00 p.m. in the Alma Jennings Student Lounge at UM Law School Library. Join alumni, students, friends and faculty of the Frost School of Music at a killer three-hour jaz session in honor of Whit Sidener. Great jazz!
