May 17, 2010 — Coral Gables--The Art & Business Council of Miami hosted their annual "Serving the Arts" Luncheon on May 11 to honor philanthropic "Art Heroes" who are making a difference for Miami organizations in 2010. Dean Shelton G. Berg from the University of Miami Frost School of Music congratulated Isa and Marvin Leibowitz on receiving one of the prestigious awards.
In the program, the Frost School of Music added, "Marvin and Isa Leibowitz truly exemplify the definition of philanthropy. They have inspired and expressed the utmost of charity for the Arts. Their generous contributions and encouragement over the years have benefited the entire South Florida community. On behalf of all of the organizations they support, the University of Miami Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music would like to express its deepest gratitude. Marvin and Isa’s generous support of musical events and guest artists provides a plethora of opportunities for our music students, faculty, and audiences. They also contribute countless volunteer hours, provide unwavering enthusiasm and are the pillars of support for numerous other arts organizations.
