September 12, 2012 — Coral Gables, FL--The Frost School of Music has expanded its website, http://www.music.miami.edu.
Frost School of Music now hosts program websites for Choir, Frost Band of the Hour, and the Strings Program..
After a summer-long development and testing phase, the new pages boast alumni achievements, audition information, news releases, faculty profiles, upcoming events and academic information.
Among the other features of the new webpages:
• Descriptions of each of the Frost School’s major musical ensembles and degree offerings within the Choral Studies, Band of the Hour, and Strings Program.
• Faculty and student resources that provide “at a glance” information, Frost School of Music forms, and links to University resources.
• News stories and news archives that offer more extensive information about students and faculty.
• Feature stories, and an improved presence of digital media
In the past year, the Frost School also expanded the web presence for its Arts Presenting and Live Entertainment Management Program. Future expansion plans for this academic year include development of similar sub-sites for Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, Orchestra, Stamps Distinguished Programs, and Graduate Studies.
Frost School Dean, Shelton “Shelly” Berg, thanked the division of University of Miami Information Technology Web Design and Development Group, and the Frost Office of Communications, for their creative work on the new sites.
