Frost School Students Perform on Medical Campus for “The Musicians Will See You Now” Series

April 26, 2013 — Coral Gables — University of Miami Frost School of Music students performed on the UM medical campus this week for a series called “The Musicians Will See You Now.” The series of performances is intended to gladden the hearts and brighten the days of patients and families who visit the medical campus, as well as the faculty and staff who work there.

Jonah Udall (guitar) and Daniel Montgomery (bass) performed at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Wednesday, April 24th. The series began Monday, April 22, at University of Miami Hospital with a lunchtime performance by a talented quartet of saxophonists. The mellifluous notes from soprano saxophonist Joe D’Aleo, alto saxophonist Esneider Valencia, both Doctor of Musical Arts candidates, tenor saxophonist Frank Capoferri, a senior, and baritone saxophonist Lewis Jones, a first-year master’s student, caught the ears of many passersby in the UMH lobby, who couldn’t help but pause to listen.

Joe Natoli, Interim Chief Operating Officer at the Miller School, hopes to make the musical performances a regular feature on the Miller School campus.

“This is a wonderfully unique program that we think will add to the level of personal care provided at each of the UHealth facilities,” Natoli said.
