About Kevin Newbury
Kevin Newbury has directed a dozen world premiere operas and plays.  In 2013 alone, he has directed four world premiere operas and has several more on the horizon. Based in New York City, Mr. Newbury’s productions have been presented by many top opera copanies and symphonies around the world, including San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Portland Opera, and many more. Mr. Newbury’s productions have received numerous awards. Some important highlights include the 2010 Irish Times Theatre Award for Best New Opera Production, Glaad Media Award nomination and win, and a Grammy Award nomination.
