UM Maurice Gusman Concert Hall
Frost School Dean Shelly Berg and faculty artist Santiago Rodriguez pair up for an all-Gershwin piano extravaganza. The program includes two-piano versions of Cuban Overture (with percussion); the Three Preludes and I Got Rhythm Variations; Grainger’s Fantasy on Porgy and Bess; and Gershwin standards arranged by Paul Posnak. The concert closes with Gershwin’s own two-piano version of Rhapsody in Blue accompanied by a rarely performed 1926 chamber orchestra orchestration. If you’re crazy for Gershwin, you’ll love this concert!
