For its first concert of the season, Frost Symphonic Winds explores four contrasting works of considerable scope: Sir Malcolm Arnold’s cheerful English Dances, Set 1, Op. 27; Myron Moss’s wind band orchestration of Gabriel Faure’s Chant Funéraire; Donald R. Gillingham’s emotion-filled And Can It Be? that ultimately emerges in bold triumph; and Ryan George’s newest exploration for wind ensemble, Riff Raff.
