This year’s salsa concert features the two-time Downbeat Collegiate Award winning Frost Salsa Orchestra with vocalist Ruben Trillo and vocal students from the Frost School of Music as they showcase compositions and arrangements by Raul Murciano—the original musical director of Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine—with a special appearance by the Caribbean String Quartet to ramp up the excitement. The concert will also feature music by Alberto de la Reguera and such famous Cuban composers as Ernesto Lecuona, Miguel Matamoros, Ignacio Cervantes, Moises Simons and beloved songs like “Siboney,” “The Peanut Vendor,” “Lagrimas Negras,” and others.

UM Students: Free with valid ID, subject to availability on concert night
